One quick note… for all those wondering “OMFG why doesn’t he just go the fuck AWAY already”, well, I think you might be forgetting what’s keeping me fueled in all this…

And I’m just a few years of bad karma finally catching up to you…

Recall that short-lived community?  Would you like to know why it really existed, and why it vanished?

Heheh.

Well, back in the days when I had an active LiveJournal account (before they starting banning all my IP addresses and stuff) I did some mass-snitching to the people featured in GOMS.  One of them finally yelled back, then I hopped into the fray, and before you know it, GOMS closed down and booted out 1300 of its 1400 members, kept membership closed, and started making posts like “classic GOMS entries” (that is, REPOST).  All because I told them everyone who’d been featured in GOMS was filing a class action lawsuit (considering they actually bought that, I should have kept it simpler and just told them the Internet was broken).

So, GOMS shut down, and booted everyone out, minus, of course, any kind of explanation.  Well, considering there was a sudden lack of GOMS on LiveJournal, I went ahead and opened goms_redux.  It was an open, public GOMS.  Membership topped 500 in a matter of weeks.  People loved it!

Then, I got suspended, so goms_redux went the way of the dodo.  After coming back, and getting a number of emails asking about it, I opened up redux_redux.   Once again, a hit.  An open, public GOMS.

I had successfully stolen the entire idea of GOMS, and a good chunk of its former members.  Minus, of course, the milfs.  Well, minus the milfs under their own screen names lol.

Right about then, getoffmyspace2 opens.  Get this… an “open, public GOMS”.  This sounded very familiar.  Moderated by gomsmod2, then by crissycullen, it was fail from day one, since the most popular of the nine or so posts was the one I made making fun of the community.

Incidentally, crissycullen is, in all likelihood, actually sometimes59, a member of amputee_milfs.  Being the stalkerish kind of guy I am, I happened to catch the fact that crissycullen and sometimes59, according to their IP addresses, come from the same town.  Since I’m not looking to get myself banned from wordpress, I won’t out that detail, but let’s just say it doesn’t match what sometimes59 has on her LJ profile.  Milfs bloodlilie and rizzo might be more familiar with what I mean…

So, yes, GOMS had to open a second GOMS to compete with me.  They were that desperate, that close to going out for good.  That’s why getoffmyspace2 existed.

Oh, and the reason they finally closed it?

I got permabanned from LiveJournal.  I can’t run any LJ communities now (technically not even supposed to have any accounts, but, well, ya know…).  Of course, I have numerous friends on LJ who would be more than happy to open a redux3…

getoffmyspace2 closed down shortly after I was banned.

So, despite they fact they don’t talk about it, refuse to acknowledge it, etc, once again, I was behind all of that.

Just so ya know.

In fact, it’s a good rule of thumb that when GOMS makes a bizarre policy declaration (“anyone who doesn’t contribute to flamerz_lol will be removed from the community”) I was probably behind it somewhere.

Oh, and no worries.  I made some contributions.  Probably won’t get posted, though…

It begins…

…with a better class of villain.  A blog post made on LiveJournal detailing the orchestration of a particular prank played on a particular community for their snarking of a MySpace page for my deceased son.  Once the prank was done, the cat was out of the bag, and we were even.  To ensure things stayed even, I said this (back at the end of August 2008):

“From this point on, we don’t hear any more from each other regarding all this. Being a man of my word, I’m willing to hold up my end of the bargain, so long as you hold up yours. This is the point at which “Goombatree” and GOMS part company. If you have any ideas about any more harassment, trying to get me deleted from LJ or something, just keep in mind that through all this, so far, I have been playing. Don’t make me angry. That’s not a threat. That’s a sincere word of advice from a man who has lost virtually everything in the past six months, and who is at the point that he really has nothing left to lose (and who is willing to do all this just to play a prank, imagine if I started an actual vendetta?). You all just stay in GOMS, and I’ll stay out, and we’ll all live happily ever after…”

Everything that follows was because that bit of advice was ignored.

They wanted the vendetta.

They got it.
